Skoda Leads Slovak Market

New passenger car sales continue to fall in Slovakia. According to data from the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), Slovakia was one of only two EU countries to report a downturn in sales during the first six months of the year, with new car registrations during the period falling by 1.5% to 29,247 units. Data from the Slovak automotive industry association, ZAP, meanwhile, show that sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs) were down by 2.54% year-on-year (y-o-y) in June 2007, to 7,644 units.
