Turkey Chosen For Honda Base
June 2007 | FDI AlertJapan's Honda plans to address a supply deficit in Europe by expanding its Turkish unit to become a regional production and export base. According to Honda chairman Takeo Fukuki, the competitive advantage of its UK plant has been lost by the country's failure to adopt the euro, which means the Japanese manufacturer will invest in its Turkish plant instead.
