Another Partner Lost For Proton
June 2007 | Company News AlertMalaysian national carmaker Proton has faced a further setback in its attempts to find an international strategic partner, after talks with Germany's Volkswagen came to a fruitless end this week. Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi revealed that VW was "not interested in the proposal that Proton wants in terms of equity", adding that the national manufacturer needs to "talk to other people".
