Investors Attracted To Liberalised Egypt
May 2007 | BMI ViewTrade and investment liberalisation are making Egypt a more attractive prospect for investors in the automotive industry, with Chinese, Russian and German enterprises increasing their presence in the Egyptian automotive assembly and parts sectors, according to BMI's latest Egypt Automotive Report. In April 2007, the Ministry of Trade and Industry set out a number of incentives for factories that supply the local automobile industry or export their production. The incentives plan offers automotive suppliers seeking to establish factories in Egypt land at low rents for up to 40 years and provides around 80% of the training costs for staff at
