Following DaimlerChrysler CEO Dieter Zetsche's announcement that the company would "not exclude any option" in finding a new partner or buyer for the struggling Chrysler group, manufacturers have been queuing up to deny their interest rather than register it. Despite previous attempts by Japan's Nissan to find a North American partner for the Renault-Nissan alliance, the company has declared that it is too preoccupied with its own rescue attempts in the US to be looking for tie-ups right now.
