Honda Earmarks Investment For Mexico
December 2006 | Company News AlertHonda is stepping up its game in Mexico after enjoying an increase in sales in the country. The Japanese carmaker's Mexican affiliate has unveiled investment of US$80mn over the next two years in a bid to extend its network and boost production. According to company sources, output at its Mexican facilities will rise from 30,000 units a year to 50,000 units. Honda is also expected to make more parts, primarily for export to the US. The project will trigger new jobs at Honda, boosting the 1,400-strong workforce to 2,000. In addition, Honda will commence production of the popular CR-V SUV
