Hungary's Rába Strikes Lucrative Deal With US-based Truck Maker

Rába Futomu, the axle unit owned by the Hungarian automotive parts manufacturer Rába, has concluded a framework agreement with Marmon-Herrington under which it will supply the US-based truck maker with axles and axle parts. The contract is valued at US$29.4mn and will come into effect next year. The companies are also expected to work together to develop products and define a strategy on how to increase competitiveness. The deal gives Rába a greater foothold in the US, which it already counts as an export market, along with the EU and CIS countries. The deal will also boost Hungary's automotive trade,
