IMV Reaps Rewards For Toyota
December 2006 | Company Finance AlertJapan's Toyota expects to earn export revenues of US$530mn for automotive components produced in the Philippines this year, largely on the back of its international innovative multi-purpose vehicle (IMV) project. Through the IMV project, production of selected 'global models' is shared between a number of emerging markets and then exported globally. The ASEAN bloc features heavily in this strategy thanks to its minimal trade tariffs.
