New ForTwo To Put Smart In Profit

The second generation of the ForTwo city car will put DaimlerChrysler's Smart subsidiary in profit from 2007, according to company executives.The new model is 25% cheaper than the first generation ForTwo, but is longer and equipped with a more powerful engine. US and EU regulations have had an impact on design with the body just under 20cm longer due to the inclusion of EU pedestrian protection measures and US impact rules.
