Saturated Market Determining Factor In Slovenian Outlook

Slovenia's automotive industry is facing capacity constraints while its car market is now at saturation levels, according to BMI's latest Slovenia Automotive Report. Renault continues to dominate both output and sales. However, output at its local Revoz subsidiary fell by 11.6% y-o-y in the first eight months of 2006. Slovenia's vehicle sales fell 3.9% y-o-y in the first 10 months of 2006. The decline in automotive sales in Slovenia is a continuation of the downturn seen in 2005, when sales fell 3.9% to 67,856 units.
