Carmakers Bullish Despite Government Restrictions
October 2006 | Industry NewsArgentina's automotive industry is already in robust form, and manufacturers' plans for 2007 and beyond look set to confirm upward growth trends in the country. In spite of the price caps currently being applied to vehicles - a measure introduced by the government in light of prices that were fast outstripping inflation - carmakers are expected to import more expensive and sophisticated models from Brazil, targeting the more affluent consumer.
