Ford Offers Small Car For Indonesia

US carmaker Ford is preparing to launch a small car for Indonesia, taking advantage of lower luxury taxes on smaller vehicles. A sliding luxury tax, calculated according to engine size and body style is charged on vehicle purchases in Indonesia, with most sedans falling into the 30-40% bracket and small vans and hatchbacks below 1.5-litres charged at 10-20%.
