Audi Pulls Plug On Hungarian Investment Plan
October 2006 | Company News AlertGerman carmaker Audi has put the brakes on its investment plan in Hungary after the government imposed a 'solidarity' tax on companies operating there. The government has introduced the tax in order to tackle the country's huge budget deficit, which is reported to have swollen to 10% of gross domestic product.
