Honda Adds Fuel To Thai Plant

Japan's Honda Motor plans to build on its investment in Thailand with the expansion of its plant in Ayutthaya at a cost of THB1.5bn. Due to be completed in April, the expansion will accommodate production of camshafts, crankshafts and connecting rods used in the assembly of engines. The output will be used in vehicle production both in Thailand and overseas, enabling the company to reduce reliance on imported parts from Japan, while also raising its export revenues.
