Fiat Books Robust Results, Sharpens Ambition

Italian carmaker Fiat has unveiled its fourth consecutive quarter of profits and in doing so reiterated its sales target for the year. As in the previous quarter, Fiat Auto continues to boost the group's results, this time by booking a profit of EUR51mn. Total sales for Fiat Auto reached EUR5.5bn, representing a 27.6% increase. Overall, the Fiat group, including the truck and bus division Iveco and agricultural equipment manufacturer CNH, reported a profit of EUR427mn.
