SAIC Unveils Homegrown Brand
October 2006 | Product LaunchState-owned Chinese carmaker Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp (SAIC) has launched its own- branded car, based on the Rover technology acquired last year. The brand will be known as Roewe, as Ford beat SAIC to the Rover name earlier in the year and the first model, the Roewe 750, will be aimed at the premium end of the market.
