Manganese Bronze, the UK manufacturer of the famous London taxi, has established a joint venture with China's Geely. The new company will operate the British firm's first ever overseas production base, manufacturing taxis for sale in China and for export throughout other parts of Asia. With China's vehicle ownership still under 1% and BMI forecasting a rise to no higher than 3% by 2010, catering for people without a car in China could prove to be another lucrative niche in the burgeoning
