Iran Khodro has announced a date for the launch of its Samand "world car" in Venezuela, following a high profile visit to the Latin American country by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.Ahmadinejad and his Venezuelan counterpart, President Hugo Chávez, signed a series of accords which included a deal on car production. Facing political isolation from the US, both governments share a common interest in economic solidarity which they believe will undermine the US's dominance of the international community.
