VW Undaunted, Earmarks Investment For Brazil

Volkswagen is to invest BRL2.5bn (almost US$1.2bn) in Brazil. After concluding crucial agreements over a voluntary redundancy plan involving 3,600 employees, the German company is confirming its commitment to the country, with one key change to its strategy: instead of focusing on exports, which had come to form the cornerstone of its Brazilian business, VW will now channel its considerable productive energies into the domestic
