Toyota Spain Eyes Further Growth
October 2006 | Company News Alert'"Ambitious but feasible"'. This is how Toyota Spain CEO Daniele Schillaci describes the company's recently unveiled sales plan for the country. Toyota is bidding to sell 100,000 units by 2010 and obtain a 6% share of the market in the same year. The carmaker expects to sell some 72,000 units this year, which would represent a 17% increase. According to the Spanish carmakers' association ANFAC, in the period January-September Toyota sold 49,728 units. A final spurt before year-end therefore, could see the carmaker achieve its goal.
