Mexico Looks To Renewable Energies
August 2006 | Project NewsThe Mexican polytechnic institute IPN is working on plans to create a new vehicle based on hydrogen technology. The innovation is being hailed as the 'vehicle of the future' and is set to offer the Mexican car buyer a greener alternative. While the US will be an early bedfellow in the project, Mexico is also bidding to obtain long-term independence from the US in terms of technology and production. The brains behind the new vehicle is Dr Enrique MartÃnez Franco, a professor at the country's research and technological innovation centre CIITEC.
