Mexican Auto Exports Surge
August 2006 | Industry NewsMexico's auto industry continues to post robust figures. In addition to a healthy upturn in production, the country has unveiled a surge in exports for the month of July. According to the Mexican association of car manufacturers AMIA, production rose by 21.3% in July compared to the same month a year ago, while exports jumped by 32.4% in the same month. So far in 2006 exports have soared by 48%. The results have led industry experts to predict record figures for the full year.
