Iran's Automotive Parts Exports Rise, Car Exports Down
July 2006 | Market Trend AnalysisAutomotive parts exports rose 87% y-o-y in the first quarter of the current Iranian year (which started on March 21) to US$20.2mn, according to customs officials.The main markets for Iranian manufactured parts were the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Russia, France and Italy. Total automotive exports, including vehicles and parts, amounted to US$47.54mn in the quarter. There was a 30% y-o-y fall in passenger car exports, which was outweighed by a 36% increase in commercial vehicle exports.
