CIE Automotive Continues Global Expansion
August 2006 | Industry NewsSpanish car parts supplier CIE Automotive is seeing its plans for global expansion come to fruition. The company has secured a US$360mn (EUR280mn) supply contract with DaimlerChrysler via its Mexican subsidiary CIE-Desc - a joint venture created earlier this year. In line with the deal, a new plant will be constructed in Derramadero, located in the northern Mexican state of Cohauila. CIE-Desc is expected to provide painting and covers for DaimlerChrysler's pick-up boxes.
