Michelin Inflates Prices To Cover Rising Costs

French tyre manufacturer Michelin is fighting back against the negative effects of soaring prices for raw materials. The company says it will charge carmakers between 6% and 8% more for tyres used in new passenger cars and trucks. The price hikes will be effective as from October 1 2006 and will apply to sales worldwide.
