Chilean Automotive Industry Going Strong
July 2006 | Industry NewsRecord sales posted by the Chilean auto industry in the first six months of 2006 have left industry experts optimistic about beating sales records relating to cars, SUVs and light commercial vehicles in the second half of the year. In a recent press conference Iván Silva, the head of Chile's automotive association ANAC, pointed to the 15,209 units sold in June, representing an increase of 13.4% on the same month a year ago. The industry has reported an accumulated growth in sales of 8.1% for the first six months of the year and sales are expected to approach the figure
