Volkswagen Earmarks New Investment For Brazil
July 2006 | Company News AlertVolkswagen's arduous task of restructuring its business in Brazil continues. The company's most recent move is a significant boost to its Brazilian subsidiary, however. Although the German carmaker is to go ahead with plans to cut some 6,000 jobs up to 2008, it has unveiled a new investment programme for its plant in Taubaté, São Paulo. The investment will be used to produce new models and update existing versions, update engineering and manufacturing systems and train employees.
