UzDaewoo Marks 10th Anniversary With Output Rise

This month, Uzbekistan carmaker UzDaewoo marks its 10th anniversary, having survived the bankruptcy of Daewoo, the South Korean automotive firm that launched the joint venture with the state-owned Uzavtoprom (Uzavtosanoat) in 1996. In late 2005, Uzavtoprom acquired full control over UzDaewoo and managed to extend its components supply agreement with GM, which owns the rights to Daewoo models as a result of the South Korean firm's bankruptcy
