GM Reports Middle East Boom
July 2006 | Company Finance AlertGM's Middle East sales totalled 36,173 units in Q2 2006, bringing H2 sales to 62,629 units, representing a 20% y-o-y rise.In the United Arab Emirates, GM sales more than doubled in H1 with 7,815 vehicles sold, representing around 12.5% of regional sales. In Saudi Arabia, GM's largest market in the region, H1 sales grew 7% to 36,074 units over the same period last year. Sales in Bahrain increased 5% to 970 units, Kuwait sales levelled at 7,950 units and the Levant markets (Jordan, Lebanon and Syria) saw sales increase by 46% to 2,771. Sales in Oman increased 37% to 1,040
