August 2006 | Industry NewsThe euro's 12% fall against the dollar in 2005 has increased the competitiveness of European products overseas, and as a result, German industry witnessed a 5% increase in export orders, creating a 2.7% rise in the country's factory orders. Based on this, Business Monitor International (BMI) has raised its forecast for domestic car consumption and production, based on results for H106, which record growth of 1% and 2% in new registrations and production respectively.
