May Signals Return To Growth
July 2006 | Industry ForecastIn the first four months of 2006, vehicle sales in Brazil fell by 8.37% against the same period in 2005, to 496,000 units. General Motors and Chrysler suffered the most in lost sales, while by contrast Peugeot increased its sales by 48.5%. Things improved markedly in May, with production, sales and exports all registering healthy growth. Total sales in the month were at 164,132 units, a 25.1% increase on the month of April.
