Honda's North American Dream
May 2006 | FDI AlertJapan's Honda Motor has allocated over US$600mn in investment for its North American operations, aimed at meeting increased demand for its products in the region. Some JPY50bn (US$456mn) will be spent on a new plant, the company's sixth in the region. Although a location has not yet been chosen, reports in Japan's Nihon Keizai daily suggest that the plant will be built near an existing facility. Honda has two plants in Ohio, one in Alabama, one in Ontario, Canada and one in Jalisco,
