May 2006 | Industry ForecastIn 2005 domestic automotive production in Mexico staged a recovery from the collapse of 2004, when the 1.5mn units produced reflected a 2.2% decline from output in 2003, which in itself had fallen 13.1% y-o-y. The export market continues to play a major part in Mexican output, as exports, particularly to the US, account for over 74% of production.
