Marcopolo And Tata Reach Bus Agreement
May 2006 | Company Finance AlertBrazilian bus manufacturer Marcopolo will enter into a joint venture with India's Tata Motors for the production of standard, luxury and city buses. Marcopolo will take a 49% stake, with Tata holding the remaining 51% majority interest. The partners will establish a plant with an initial annual production capacity of 7,000 units. The project will demand a total investment of between INR1.5bn and INR2.0bn
