Ford Overcomes Transmission Glitch

The bumpy ride continues for Ford after a problem with engine transmissions forced the US carmaker to close seven of its North American plants last week. Production ground to a halt on April 27 when a problem was discovered with the clutch mechanism of its four-speed, rear-wheel-drive automatic transmissions, used in the F-150 pickup truck, Expedition SUV, E-series vans and buses and Lincoln Town
