Vietnam Cuts Auto Tariffs
June 2006 | Industry NewsVietnam's Finance Ministry has approved a reduction in import tariffs on vehicles from China and a number of South East Asian countries, opening the market further to overseas manufacturers. Imports from China, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia, Laos, Cambodia and Brunei will all be charged at 50% rather than 90%, according to Thanh Nien News, with the change to take effect retroactively from January
