Toyota Retains Australia Lead

Toyota retained its market leadership in 2005 and was the only carmaker to sell over 200,000 units in a year for the second consecutive year. The company sold 202,817 units, representing an increase of 0.54% from 2004. Within that total, Toyota led the SUV market with a 25.7% share, and also dominated the light truck segment with a 27.3% market share.
