Nanjing Starts Up Rover Plant
April 2006 | Project NewsChina's Nanjing Automobile has broken ground on a plant, which will produce cars using the technology and equipment acquired from MG Rover. The company expects the first car to roll off the assembly line on March 2007, with commercial production scheduled to begin in July. The plant will have an annual production capacity of 200,000 units of the Mingjue, a model based in the MG Rover 7. Around 250,000 engines per year will also be produced at the
