April 2006 | Industry NewsA scheme designed to boost car ownership and support automotive manufacturing in Nigeria is facing harsh criticism from the media, which claims that it lacks transparency.President Olusegun Obasanjo launched the car finance scheme in July, targetting 10,530 members of the military and police. The new voluntary arrangement is aimed at encouraging local car manufacturers and banks to enter into a financing programme with the public
