Spanish Fears Of UK Parallels?

With 2005 production of 2.8 million vehicles the Spanish industry is the third largest in Europe, well ahead of the UK with output of 1.8 million vehicles. Yet Spain is also some distance behind France, which produced 3.5 million vehicles last year, and Germany far out in front on 5.8 million vehicles. Although most countries in Europe registered falling output for that year Spain's contraction of 8.6% since 2004 was translated into the largest drop in output numbers for any European country.
