April 2006 | Company SpotlightPSA Peugeot Citroën sold 3,405,245 vehicles worldwide in 2004 compared with 3,310,368 in 2003. Net sales for 2004 reached EUR56.80bn, an increase of 4.7% over 2003. Q404 sales rose 6.6% to EUR15.05bn as new models such as the Citroën C4 were introduced. Automobile division sales rose 4.8% to EUR45.79bn due to higher global sales by Peugeot and Citroën, although West European sales were put under pressure. However, the group's automotive division's operating margin fell from EUR1.30bn in 2003 to EUR1.13bn in 2004 due to an increasingly competitive European market and higher raw material
