GM Europe Focuses On Diesel
January 2006 | Project NewsGM Powertrain Europe, the powertrain development unit established by General Motors in May 2005, plans to expand its operations to focus on the development of diesel products. According to Rita Forst, executive director of product engineering at GM Powertrain Europe, the company’s focus will be on meeting new Euro 5 emissions standards due to come into force in 2010. Stricter Euro 6 standards will follow in 2015.
