Nissan And Chrysler Strengthen Outperformance View

BMI's long-held view about Mexico being a major outperformer in autos production in the Latin America region is gathering strength following Nissan Motor's and Chrysler's announcements of increased production-related investments in the country. Mexican carmakers produced 2.55mn cars and light trucks last year, an increase of 13.1% year-on-year (y-o-y) and a new record for the country's autos industry, estimates from the local autos association AMIA have revealed.
