Favourable Currency Will Boost Production For Export

BMI expects the US to regain its status as a leading global export base for vehicles in 2012, after being overshadowed by cheaper emerging markets, which will also have positive consequences for production. The weaker dollar, in comparison with the yen in particular, is encouraging overseas carmakers to increase their exports from the US, which is rapidly becoming one of the world's more cost-effective production bases.
