Chrysler Stake Increase: Victory Is Still Far Away

Italy's Fiat has increased its stakes in Chrysler Group by 5% to 58.5% after it managed to meet the final condition on fuel efficiency set by the US government. The increased stake not only moves Fiat closer to integrating the US carmaker with its car making group but also bodes well for Fiat's financial performance. BMI, however, remains concerned about Fiat's own performance as it struggles to improve sales in Europe while sales in Asia remain unimpressive.
