Council Formed To Boost Local Content Efforts

As carmakers in South Africa look to step up production to meet the requirements of the Automotive Production Development Programme, attention has turned to increasing levels of local content. A 'purchasing council' comprising original equipment manufacturers has been formed to research and implement measures for increasing domestic production of components and technologies to be used in vehicle production.
