National CNG Push Continues As Emirates Transport Makes Switch
March 2011 | Industry NewsDubai-based Emirates Transport has announced plans to convert its full fleet of 10,500 commercial vehicles to either full compressed natural gas (CNG) or CNG hybrid engines, supporting BMI's view that there are increasing opportunities for companies involved in alternative fuel technology in the Gulf Co-operation Council states. The announcement follows the first conversion made by Dubai Municipality's fleet in February, which shows a consistent emirate-wide policy.
