AvtoVAZ-Asia Auto JV: A Game Changer For All?

With the local autos market heating up, Russia's AvtoVAZ has joined hands with Kazakhstan-based Asia Auto and Eptic to form a joint venture for the establishment of a vehicle assembly plant in Kazakhstan by 2015. We believe the project is highly strategic, not only owing to the size of investment involved, but also because it will help AvtoVAZ diversify its market exposure and help the Kazakh government's plans for bolstering autos production in the country.
