JLR's Brazilian Investment: A Strategic Choice

British premium carmaker Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) could potentially set up a manufacturing plant in Brazil, the country's trade minister Fernando Pimentel has revealed. BMI believes that the move could be a significant boost for JLR's strategy in Brazil and in the Latin American region as a whole. More importantly, it highlights JLR's strategy of concentrating on high-potential and less-competitive emerging markets, given that the company has recently invested in similar projects in India and Sub-Saharan Africa.
