Used Car Boost Bodes Ill For New Vehicles Market
November 2011 | Industry NewsMexico has relaxed regulations governing the import of cars between seven to nine years old in a move which BMI believes will further dampen recovery in the new vehicles segment. Despite a near 10% year-on-year (y-o-y) increase in new vehicles sales in 2011, as expected by BMI, the segment remains close to 25% lower compared to the pre-crisis levels of 2007 and we believe that a complete recovery may not be possible until 2015.
